Kits – Earn (Artist payout program)
The offer
- This is a payout program, not a credits offer: vocalists clone their own voice on Kits, get it verified, and earn when others download audio made with that model
- Rate: $0.20 per downloaded minute (all user tiers); paid out on the 1st and 15th each month once you pass $10 earned; earnings dashboard inside Kits
- Note: Kits was acquired by Splice (Jan 2026), so terms could shift
Who qualifies
- The voice must be yours (Kits verifies ownership and audio quality); train the model on Kits, no merged/uploaded third-party voices; one submitted voice per person
- Keep it private (share by email) or opt into the public Verified Voice Library; a Stripe account is required for payouts
Community Insights
Kits Earn is unusual for this list: it doesn’t give you credits, it lets singers monetise an AI clone of their own voice ($0.20 per downloaded minute). The consent-and-compensation model (Kits is “Fairly Trained” certified) is more ethical than scraped-voice competitors, which is the main thing people praise. The cautions are about the underlying platform: voice-model quality is hit-or-miss, there are recurring billing complaints (low Trustpilot scores), and payouts are realistically a small passive-income stream, not real income. The program is now under Splice ownership.
Best Practices (from community tips)
- Treat it as long-tail passive income, not a paycheck. Earnings scale with how much others download your model.
- Opt into the public Verified Voice Library for reach if you’re comfortable licensing your voice; keep it private if not.
- Set up Stripe and clear ownership audio up front. Verification checks both ownership and quality.
- Re-check terms periodically. Splice now owns Kits and hasn’t announced rate/term changes, but it could.
