Developers widely rate Claude as the best model for coding (“Claude Opus is technically superior… for most development tasks”), and it is the one many would pay for if they picked just one. The friction is on access and limits: token burn in Claude Code, periodic overload/outage errors, and, on consumer Pro/Max plans, no programmatic API access. The startup program targets exactly that gap (first-party API access plus Anthropic’s highest rate limits and credits).
